Dear Pastor Bernard:

We pray you are doing well in the service of our Lord.

It is with urgent concern we bring your attention to the worst social, cultural and public image devastation to afflict us since slavery and segregation. We consider the pervasion of rap poison lyrics and messages to our children by the powerful controllers of the rap music industry to be a colossal plague upon our community.

We believe this music, word and distribution power overwhelms our children and the parents that struggle to raise them.

Our families need moral support and guidance from our spiritual, clerical and church leadership. Regrettably, the best they can get is abject silence. This consenting sinful silence of our secular and religious leadership is one of the greatest gifts we could give to the Devil and his network. Satan is reportedly in praise of the Black church for refusing to take a public stand against his deadly poison.

We request you grant us an appointment to discuss this matter with you and explore how your church may best confront this evil.

Additionally, you might wish to assist our Break the Silence campaign by placing your name and/or the name of your church on our Culture Dignity Roll as per enclosed information materials. Council of Bad Language Disdainers and Evangelical Dialogs are ministries of the Evangelical Church of God.
